Oak House Studio

This is my first entry into The Oak House Studio June Challenge.

Firstly I started with a selection of blue inks, a A5 scallop edged card,a blank piece of paper and the Large floral stamp from  The Oak House Studio Range.

At this point I wasn't sure where I was going with this ...

With a few spots of ink on a pad I randomly inked the paper

Then stamped on to a piece of acetate that I had also randomly applied the inks to as well

I then added blue Perfect Pearls over the stamped image....

At this stage I am thinking is this just too much blue ??
Layered the cut down inked and stamped pieces and put onto the card

Stamped The English Summer Verse onto a piece of card using Archival black, inked the edges and applied to card. Then using 2 different butterfly stamps, stamped and cut out the images and applied to the card. Coloured 4 dazzlers and applied them to the centre of some of the images.

Finally I took a pen round the edge of the card and on the large butterfly, I added crackle glaze, on the 2 smaller ones clear stickles.

As part of an ATC group on fb our theme for June is ' Blue ' so here are the 2 atc's I have made using the same stamps for my ' New Baby ' cards and the Fae set of the new Visible Image range of stamps.

It has been a while since I used Shrink Plastic so I decided to give it an airing for these atc's.

I was commissioned to make a card for the expected birth of a Baby Boy and going through some old stamps of mine came up with this combination but rather than make just one I made three... one for a baby girl obviously .....

I only know where one of the stamps are from as it is on a wooden block with the Anita's sticker still on there and that belongs to the " Newborn " stamp.
The others are unmounted stamps with no packing as I bought them second hand but seem to recall Jayne Nestorenko showing how to make the Rabbit on Create and Craft many moons ago ....

Sunday's Fun Day in the Craft Room .....

This is a simple card using my Free Lavina Stamps, Distress ink pads, Stickles and Wink of Stella pens.

This was made using JustRite Stamps, Distress ink pads, Wink of Stella brush pens and Spectrum Noir pens and pencils.

This is a stamped image I dug out of my stash of which I have since sold the stamps in this range but still have some others that need the Spectrum Noir treatment ....

This next image is using Chocolate Baroque stamps and Raindrops by Ryn, Distress inks and the wax crayon technique.

This is my first attempt at playing with both Spectrum Noir Pens and Pencils which I have to say the thought of doing was quite daunting .... the Stamps are from Sheena Douglass Out of India range, again using Distress ink pads and stickles.https

Another little box but one that I feel is unusual as I have used stamps, gilding flakes, gems and crackle glaze to finish.

I think this photo captures the crackle glaze perfectly

Randomly stamped with appropriate words to compliment the stamped images.

Thank you for taking the time to browse.Facebook
